CFTC Strategic Plan 2020-2024, May 2020
The strategic goals and objectives in this plan guide and prioritize our efforts to achieve the CFTC’s mission: to promote the integrity, resilience, and vibrancy of the U.S. derivatives markets through sound regulation. The CFTC strives to achieve this mission, including the obligation to ensure our derivatives markets support the U.S. free enterprise system in innovative ways. The Strategic Plan and its public posting are OMB Circular A-11 requirements.
FY 2020 Division of Enforcement Annual Report, December 2020
This report details the enforcement program’s accomplishments, including quantitative and qualitative measures such as cases filed, relief obtained, and trends among enforcement actions.
The CFTC submits an annual report to Congress regarding the Whistleblower Program, customer education initiatives, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission Customer Protection Fund, which funds the Whistleblower Program, including whistleblower awards, as well as customer education initiatives.
FY 2019 CFTC FOIA Annual Report, January 2020
The FOIA annual report contains detailed statistics on the number of requests received and processed, the time taken to respond, and the outcome of each request, as well as many other vital statistics regarding the CFTC’s administration of the FOIA. These reports are required by the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. § 552. (XML) (Raw Data)
This report is in response to Executive Order 13693, which was signed in March 2015 entitled, “Planning for Federal Sustainability in the Next Decade.” It describes CFTC’s efforts to improve energy efficiency and enhance environmental performance in its facilities and operations.
Pursuant to the Regulatory Flexibility Act (5 U.S.C. 601, et seq.), and consistent with Executive Order 12866, the Commission issues twice a year an agenda of rulemaking matters it expects to consider during the next 12 months. The Commission’s agenda is published in the government-wide Unified Agenda of Federal Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions, which is released in the Spring and Fall of each year.
