CFTC’s Market Risk Advisory Committee Announces Agenda for June 20 Public Meeting

Washington, DC — The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (Commission) Market Risk Advisory Committee (MRAC) will hold a public meeting on June 20, 2017 at the CFTC's Washington, DC, headquarters.

CFTC Commissioner Sharon Bowen is the sponsor of this Advisory Committee.

At this meeting, the MRAC will discuss: (1) respond to a presentation by the CFTC’s Division of Clearing and Risk on how it conducts risk surveillance of central counterparties (CCPs); (2) discuss how to better inform the CCP regulatory framework through academic research and economic analysis; and (3) advise the Commission of the potential effects of Brexit on financial markets.

The meeting is open to the public with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Members of the public may also listen to the meeting via conference call using a domestic toll-free telephone or international toll or toll-free number to connect to a live, listen-only audio feed.
