Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Global Markets Advisory Committee to Meet February 12, 2014

Committee to discuss CFTC Staff Advisory issued on November 14, 2013 on the Applicability of Transaction-Level Requirements in Certain Cross-Border Situations

Washington, DC – The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will convene a meeting of its Global Markets Advisory Committee (GMAC) on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, to discuss the CFTC staff's advisory issued on November 14, 2013, related to the CFTC's cross-border guidance addressing the applicability of certain Commission regulations.

CFTC Acting Chairman Mark Wetjen is the sponsor of the advisory committee.

The meeting is open to the public with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. The meeting will be available via a listen-only conference call. Following the meeting, a recording will also be made available on the CFTC’s website.
