Remarks: Originally designated as the New Orleans Commodity Exchange in 1981. The exchange moved to Chicago in 1983 and became the Chicago Rice and Cotton Exchange (CRCE). The CRCE was subsequently acquired by the MidAmerica Commodity Exchange (MidAm), which in turn was acquired by the Chicago Board of Trade in 1986. In 1991, the CRCE designation was vacated and its rough rice contract was transferred to the MidAm.
