Rule Numbers – Eurex US Rule 415
Eurex US is amending the minimum block trade sizes for its U.S. Treasury futures contracts. For block trades executed during daytime hours (7:20 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. CST), the minimum size for 2, 5, and 10 Year U.S. Treasury Note futures is 1000 contracts. The minimum size for 30 Year U.S. Treasury Bond futures is 500 contracts during daytime hours. During nighttime hours, the minimum size for all U.S. Treasury futures is 250 contracts. Prior to Monday, August 16, 2004, the minimum size for 2, 5, and 10 Year U.S. Treasury Note futures was 2,500. The minimum size for the 30 Year U.S. Treasury Bond futures was 1,500. Block trades must be confirmed within 15 minutes unless the size is 2500 contracts or more, in which case the seller will have 30 minutes to confirm the block trade.
