The CFTC Website is a valuable source of news and information about Commission activities, and the CFTC is committed to providing current and accurate information about its regulatory mission and consumer protection initiatives to meet the informational needs of the public.

In announcing the redesigned Website, CFTC Chairperson Brooksley Born commented:

"The CFTC believes that the new Website will serve the public by providing more information more quickly and in a more readily accessible format."

The new CFTC Website includes many enhancements intended to provide the public with an easier method of obtaining CFTC information. The enhancements include a navigational tool bar found at the bottom of each page to provide rapid access to information throughout the site. The navigational tool bar features a search engine allowing full text searches throughout the site; a comprehensive site map; an updated and expanded set of links; and the "Ask CFTC" page.
