WASHINGTON -- The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced the appointment of Susan A. Berkowitz as Regional Counsel, the Chicago Regional Office, the Division of Enforcement.
Ms. Berkowitz has been a Trial Attorney in the CFTC's Enforcement Division for the past five years. Prior to joining the CFTC, Ms. Berkowitz was in private practice in Chicago. A native of St. Petersburg, Florida, she received her B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of South Florida in Tampa, and her Juris Doctor degree in 1983 from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago.
Geoffrey Aronow, the Director of the Division of Enforcement commented, ``Ms. Berkowitz is a very talented and able attorney who will bring great skill and energy to her new position. I look forward to working with her in her role as the leader of a critical part of our program.''
