CFTC to Hold Open Meeting on October 30

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will hold a meeting on Monday, October 30, 2000, at 1:00 p.m. in Hearing Room 1000 (Lobby Level), Three Lafayette Centre, 1155 21^st Street, N.W., Washington, D.C., to consider:

• Final rules for a regulatory framework for Multilateral Transaction Execution Facilities;
  
• Final rules relating to Intermediaries of Commodity Interest Transactions;
• 
  Final Rules for a New Regulatory Framework for Clearing Organizations; and
  
• Final Rules on the Exemption for Bilateral Transactions.

The date of this meeting is subject to change due to circumstances that might occur related to any action by Congress on Commodity Exchange Act re-authorization legislation.
