Respondent Michael D. Smith has requested reconsideration of the Commission's March 11, 1997 decision denying his motion for a stay. Although the Commission denied Smith's motion for a stay on the merits, Smith asserts that the Commission erred by concluding that his motion for stay was also untimely. Respondent's request for reconsideration is denied. See In re First National Monetary Corp., [1982-1984 Transfer Binder] Comm. Fut. L. Rep. (CCH) 21,850 at 27,569 n.3 (CFTC June 30, 1981).
