Subcommittee on Convergence to Convene a Follow-Up Session

Washington, DC – On Thursday, July 23, 2009, from 3 p.m. EDT to 5 p.m. EDT, members of the Subcommittee on Convergence in Agricultural Commodity Markets will conduct their second public conference call.

The Subcommittee on Convergence in Agricultural Commodity Markets, a subcommittee of the CFTC’s Agricultural Advisory Committee, was formed by the CFTC to identify the causes of poor cash-futures convergence in select agricultural commodity markets and advise on actions to remedy the situation. The Subcommittee held its initial public conference call on June 8, 2009.
