CFTC Staff Re-Issues Frequently Asked Questions on Commodity Options

Washington, DC — In an effort to address questions the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Commission) has received regarding the Trade Option Form (Form TO) filing process and the circumstances which trigger the filing requirement, today the Division of Market Oversight (DMO) is re-issuing the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document on this topic. This FAQs document was originally issued by DMO in September 2013.

Certain trade option participants are required to file with the Commission by March 1, 2014, a completed Form TO covering their unreported trade options from calendar year 2013. The FAQs document the Commission is re-issuing today includes hyperlinks to other related, background documents that will help with form completion.

The FAQs and Form TO can each be accessed under Related Links. Form TO may be completed and submitted on-line through the Related Link titled Form TO.
