CFTC Announces Start of Regularly Scheduled Staff Calls on OCR Implementation

Washington, DC — The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Commission) announced today that Commission staff will begin hosting telephone conference calls with reporting parties regarding technical implementation of the new ownership and control rules and related forms published in the Federal Register on November 18, 2013 (the OCR Final Rule). The OCR Final Rule is designed to enhance the Commission’s identification of futures and swap market participants.

The calls will occur every other week beginning on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, or at other times on an as-needed basis.

During the calls, staff also expects to discuss a technical guidance document prepared by staff, which provides detailed instructions on submitting data in connection with the OCR Final Rule via FTP.

For more information regarding the conference calls, and to access the technical guidance document, please go to the Ownership and Control Reporting page on the Commission’s website.
