CFTC Awarded Certificate of Excellence in Accountability Reporting

Washington, DC – The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced it earned the Association of Government Accountants Certificate of Excellence in Accountability Reporting (CEAR) award for the CFTC’s 2009 Performance and Accountability Report.

The CEAR award recognizes outstanding accountability reporting and is the highest form of recognition in Federal government management reporting. The award ceremony will be held at the Washington, DC, Press Club on May 26, 2010.

“The CFTC is committed to transparent and reliable accountability reporting. Receiving this prestigious award for a fourth year in a row is an honor and recognizes the dedication, teamwork and collaboration of the CFTC’s talented staff,” CFTC Chairman Gary Gensler said.

The CFTC was one of 19 federal agencies to receive the CEAR award in 2010.
