Subcommittee on Convergence to Convene the Third Session

Washington, DC – On Wednesday, September 23, 2009, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., members of the Subcommittee on Convergence in Agricultural Commodity Markets will conduct their third public conference call.

The Subcommittee on Convergence in Agricultural Commodity Markets, a subcommittee of the CFTC’s Agricultural Advisory Committee, was formed by the CFTC to identify the causes of poor cash-futures convergence in select agricultural commodity markets and advise on actions to remedy the situation. The Subcommittee held its first two public conference calls on June 8, 2009 and July 23, 2009.
