CFTC Extends Until August 1, 2006, the Comment Period on What Constitutes a Board of Trade Located Outside the United States

Washington, D.C. – The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today extended until August 1, 2006, the comment period on what constitutes a “board of trade, exchange, or market located outside the United States” as that phrase is used in Section 4(a) of the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA). The notice of the comment period extension will be published shortly in the Federal Register.
