    US Regulator Details Plan for Derivatives

    New proposals unveiled for the regulation of the derivatives market and its dealers designed to increase transparency.

    Regulators continued their battle today over the monitoring of the complex financial instruments blamed for worsening the global credit crisis.

    Gary Gensler, chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), unveiled new proposals for the regulation of the derivatives market and its dealers.
