U.S. regulators said they will hold a public meeting in Washington on Aug. 20 on governance and conflicts of interest in clearing and listing of swaps, one of several planned before agencies begin to issue a flurry of regulations to implement new Wall Street reforms.
Invited panelists will discuss the types of possible conflicts that could occur between banks and other major players in the swaps business and clearinghouses, swap execution facilities (SEFs) and exchanges that trade swaps, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and Securities and Exchange Commission said in a release…
