CFTC Commissioner Sharon Brown-Hruska Presented With Key Women in Energy's Global Leadership Award

CFTC Commissioner Sharon Brown-Hruska has been awarded Key Women in Energy's Global Leadership Award, announced at the March 31, 2004, National Energy Marketers Association Conference in Washington, D.C.

Rader Energy in Houston, Texas, in conjunction with Montreal-based Electric Energy T&D magazine, announced the award as part of their second annual Key Women in Energy-Americas awards project, which honors key women in the energy sector. The project recognizes up to 100 women annually for recent contributions and achievements that benefit their company, industry sector, or the entire energy industry.

Key Women in Energy, which is supported by both public and private entities, notes that eligibility for the awards is open to women working in a wide spectrum of energy-related areas, including: regulatory, policy, technology, and sciences, among others. According to the Key Women in Energy website, the Awards categories are: Leadership, Wisdom, Innovation/Creativity, Visionary, Pathfinders/Trailblazers, and Potential.
